West Rome Riders Inc. is an all volunteer snowmobile club  dedicated to promoting safety, education, and providing the best trail conditions possible. Through the hard work and dedication of our club officers, the club was able to purchase a new groomer in 2005 through the Recreational Trails Program grant award. This was delivered on December 11, 2005.  We look forward to the improvement this will make in grooming our trails.  

Our club's trail system is 41 miles long, covering both State Park trails and private landowners who generously allow us access. The trails begin in West Rome where one trail heads south to Madison County near the Kanon Valley Country Club (C7L) via the Old Erie Canal State Park trail and another (C7M) to the Verona Beach State Park and the east shore of Oneida Lake, where some of the most BEAUTIFUL sunsets take place.  Our C-7 trail and the C7L trail both link-up with the Tri-Valley Trail Riders system.  One of our main trails, C7F, heads west out of West Rome utilizing a good portion of an old railroad that leads to Taberg, linking to the Taberg Trail Blazers trail system near Taberg Tower Tubing and the Taberg Nice & Easy store and from there one can then ride on to the TC Riders trails in Camden/Florence. Back in West Rome, the C-7 trail heads north from the Erie Canal Village to the Colonial Inn and lake Delta area, connecting to the Trail Busters trail system in N. Rome.  Then on to Penn Mt. Snow Riders beautiful trails. (Check out our links to all these neighboring clubs).  Our 2 secondary trails lead riders to the Inn at The Beeches Resort & Conference Center (S73-A) and also to Cycle Shack Polaris & the West Rome Nice & Easy c-store (S73-B).  We also still groom the trail to the Rome Motel and the Turin Rd. Mart Sunoco Gas & Car Wash c-store in N. Rome.  The volunteer groomers do a great job, putting in many hours, attempting to keep up with the large amount of traffic this trail experiences all season. Please respect the Groomer and Drivers and move off the trail when they approach you.

REMEMBER ITS THE LAW TO YIELD TO GROOMERS on the trail!   Give these drivers a "THUMBS UP" when you see them to show respect and thank them for their work. Sometimes it’s all the credit they get.
